Combining Fair Isle & Intarsia: Scout Shawl - 2 Hour Live Class - Sunday 1st February 2026

£60.00
| /
A 2 hour group class with Florence Spurling taught virtually via Zoom taking place on Sunday 1st February 3.00-5.00pm UK time.

In this colourwork focused class, students will explore the key techniques that are used within the Scout Shawl pattern series. The main differences between Fair Isle and intarsia will be explored, as well as advice on working with multiple yarns at the same time, and how to achieve a professional looking finish when transitioning between pattern blocks. Student will follow a colourwork chart and put these method to practice, resulting in a multi-coloured and multi-technique swatch. Upon completion of the class, students will be able to tackle other projects that feature flat Fair Isle knitting and intarsia with confidence. No experience in the intarsia method is needed, but it is recommended to have some very basic experience with Fair Isle knitting.

Students will receive an informative handout and a free pattern of mine is included in the class price. The class will be recorded for your reference afterwards (or if you cannot make the live class) and will be available to watch for 6 months after the live date.
