Elvan Shawl: Korean
This is the Korean translation of the Elvan Shawl pattern.
Elvan is a side-to-side triangular shawl inspired by the geometric emblems and hushed tones of vintage woven carpets. Staggered intarsia patterns travel the shawl like woven stories, mixed with pools of bobbles that lend an uber-plush feel. Elvan’s long tips and shallow depth make for a super-wearable accessory that fits perfectly into a contemporary wardrobe.
The shawl requires a main color for the background, and nine contrast colors for the intarsia motifs. Get creative choosing your palette using mini-skeins or leftovers from your stash.
The pattern uses a Main Color (MC) and nine contrast colors (CC1-9) of fingering weight yarn.
The sample was knitted with:
KOKON Fingering Weight Merino in 'Fog' for MC and KOKON Fingering Weight Mini Skeins in 'Sea' for CC1, 'Daybreak' for CC2, 'Dawn' for CC3, 'Cacti' for CC4, 'Steppe' for CC5, 'Morning' for CC6, 'Clay' for CC7, 'Cloud' for CC8, 'Madder' for CC9.
